Food 4 Future in Bilbao, Spain

Attending and speaking at the Food 4 Future Event was a great opportunity for Protenga to connect with other players in the aquaculture industry and learn more about current and future trends.


The event's focus on sustainable practices and innovation aligns well with Protenga's mission to create sustainable insect-based solutions for the agriculture industry.


The event provided a platform for experts, government officials, and academics to share their insights and ideas on solving some of the most pressing challenges facing the food industry. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, from new technologies and trends in food production to the impact of food on public health and the economy.


Protenga's participation in the Sustainable Aquaculture panel provided an opportunity to share our knowledge and experience in insect farming for feed sustainability and footprint reduction. We were thrilled to learn more about other contributors, such as organic aquaculture production, endangered species preservation, and the potential of phages to improve aquaculture health without antibiotics. The panel demonstrated that innovative solutions exist to address these challenges and that by working together, we can help create a better future for the food industry.


We were also finalists for the the Best Automation and Robotics Solution Award, a true testament to our commitment to bring latest innovation and technologies for a better food system.


Overall, we would like to extend our gratitude to the organizers of the Food 4 Future Event, and to our fellow panelists, for sharing their insights and expertise.
